How can we create solutions that both benefit the ocean and make economic sense?
That question set the course for our very first Evening Edition of the Ocean Insights Expeditions – a sailing format designed to spark dialogue, share knowledge, and test new ideas for sustainable blue innovation.

With the summer sun setting over Helsingør, a group of experts and ocean enthusiasts gathered onboard to exchange perspectives on how ocean biodiversity can be restored while also building viable business models. The return of the great tuna to Øresund was a powerful reminder of how the ocean can bounce back under the right conditions – and why innovative solutions are needed now more than ever.

Why we sail
At sea, perspectives shift. Sailing together creates a unique environment where conversations become more open, ideas travel further, and networks are strengthened in ways that rarely happen ashore. The ocean itself reminds us what is at stake – and why our choices today matter for tomorrow. Ocean Insights Expeditions are not about highlighting problems, but about charting courses towards solutions: regenerative technologies, sustainable business models, and collaborations that can truly accelerate the blue transition.

A constructive focus
Much of the public debate about the ocean is dominated by crises and challenges. While these are real, our mission is to create space for constructive conversations about solutions – practical, scalable, and investable. By bringing entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, and decision-makers together under sail, we want to prove that it is possible to align what benefits the ocean with what makes economic sense.
